Erick Sosa is a tacos al pastor-making, Chilangolandia crime-fighting master. Oh, and did we also mention, he’s a top-class sculptor to boot? His infectious enthusiasm, sculpting skill, and love of Dragon Ball Z are all reasons this 20 plus year sculpting veteran is one to watch in this year’s BWFC.
I can’t believe I was called again. It is like a dream all over again.
Because sculpting is tangible, it lets me see my creations from every angle, and I can feel my art, and hold it in my hands.
Dragon Ball touched my heart as a young man, and being able to reproduce the art of Akira Toriyama is one of the greatest honors and achievements of my career.
I chose Trunks sitting at Kami’s Lookout, because it is based on the artwork by Mr. Toriyama, an extremely iconic representation of Trunks. It has never been done before I believe, and I wanted to be the one to bring it to life.
My style is a combination of many different styles, specifically manga/anime, and with a very strong touch of American comic book style.
I would be Goku…. always learning, always trying to improve, and always making new friends.
I feel they are some of the most amazing human beings I have ever met. They are very kind, and are all extremely talented artists. It is quite an honor for me to just be able to meet them, and be able to learn form their work.
Well, I don’t see them as fans, I see them as friends that support my art. I am very thankful to you all for supporting my career throughout 24 years.
