KENGO loves creating — combined with his passion for One Piece, he will bring a Luffy to the table that fans around the world are sure to enjoy.
K: I’m excited.
I’m looking forward to interacting with the other international sculptors and seeing their reactions of the people from other countries.
K: I love creating things and for my graduation project, I created 50 figures based on youth culture. Later on I had my figures used in movies and dramas and learned about the joy of having your projects displayed along with the fun and hardships of crafting. My curiosity has led me to this point.
K: “Bardock”, father of Goku, that won me the World Sculpting Arts Tournament 5 along with Mr. Nakazawa and the One Piece MSP and SMSP.
K: For work, I make sure to create something that I like myself. Next I focus on creating something the customer enjoys as well. I imagine the people that will be holding the figures and think about what they would want from it. My rule is to continue creating until I am fully satisfied with the project.
K: Slam Dunk, Dragon Ball, One Piece
K: They are really good and amazing. There is so much variety in the expression and I use it as reference when I work on my projects as well.
K: I can’t wait to interact with the people from other countries. I’m curious about their views on sculpting. As for the creation, I just want to create a cool Luffy and want to research ways to display interesting expressions in the 3 dimensional shape. I’m excited myself at imagining what kind of Luffy I will create. I want to give my 100% effort and create a passionate project. I’ll do my best.
