A man fans of the BWFC should be familiar with, Manabu Yamashita returns to the competition with his own unique take on everybody’s favorite Saiyan, Goku. Humble yet very skilled, he also loves cats and has an insatiable desire to buy things.
I will try my best to be able to satisfy everyone with my work!
I found a job offer for sculpting staff at my university placement office. That was the start of my career as a sculptor.
I still remember the days I bought and read Shonen Jump every week and I was always excited about Mr. Toriyama’s world. I loved the story of course, and also new characters design, mechanics design, and the frontispiece. There is no exaggeration when I say that I grew up with Dragon Ball so I feel really honored and blessed to be able to take part in the merchandise as a sculptor.
Goku wearing a turban was what I have wanted to sculpt someday forever. Because it is kind of rare to sculpt that design, I thought Goku in a turban style with a coarse-oilpaper-umbrella would be a difficult composition but an interesting one.
The composition and the precision.
Son Goku. I know it is a presumptuous choice but I want to be like him because he makes efforts with curiosity and grows up by enjoying fights with stronger characters. That is why I chose him.
Including me, I am really looking forward to seeing what kind of work everyone will make and finish in this midst of nervousness!
I want you to see all of our sculpting! Please pay attention to the different styles and our passions! And also, I would appreciate if you participated in the voting and made this BWFC more exciting!
