A sculptor well versed in both traditional and digital sculpting, this Spanish native has arrived at the BWFC to show the world his skill. A positive and happy person, Raul has been a longtime One Piece fan, and making an official figure for the series is a huge honor for him.
I am very excited about this competition. I am also excited to compete with so many other great artists.
I used to draw when I was a teen, then I started to paint, and finally to sculpt. Sculpting was the more complex and more complete art of all I tried. I feel more comfortable with sculpting, so I guess I became a sculptor as a natural end for me.
I used to see One Piece on TV some years ago and I loved the characters. I never imagined I would some day make a figure of One Piece! I feel happy and honored about it.
One Piece has a lot of great characters, but I always liked Sabo. I wanted some dynamic pose for him, so playing around with the concept like I did is going to be very interesting.
I think when you put something of yourself, your taste, your vision, your way in a figure that break the academic or lineal way, it makes your work different than the rest. I know my work is very personal, as I put a lot of my personal taste on it.
I would say Luffy, because I wear a smile always as well. I am a positive person and I like to show it to people.
They are all very nice and talented sculptors, and I will learn from them for sure, so I am very happy to be in a competition with so many talented people around.
Only that I hope you enjoy the work I do for the competition ;)
