INTERVIEW

How do you feel about participating in the BANPRESTO WORLD FIGURE COLOSSEUM 2018?

I would love to get revenge for last year's competition! I participated in this contest last year and even if I didn't win, I received a great response, so I will try my best to once again achieve good results at this year's BWFC.

Of all the art forms, why did you pick sculpting or become a sculptor?

I worked for a sculpting company as a part time job when I was a university student, and that's where it all started. I've been involved for 10 years of sculpting career but it has been only 4 years since I started working as a freelancer, so I am still learning every day. Health comes first and I will do my best to enjoy working as long as possible!

How do you feel about the franchise for which you selected? (Dragon Ball or One Piece)

One Piece is such a famous show and has tons of fans, so I always try to sculpt the characters with a feeling of nervousness. This time, I will be sculpting an important scene of Sanji so I would like to express his internal struggle.

Tell us the reason why you chose the character you did. (And why did you pose it that way?).

The reason I choose this scene and character is because I was impressed with the fight scene which would be the first and last for Sanji and Luffy. It was an unusual scene for One Piece to feel uneasy.

What makes your style of sculpting unique?

The new expression of gimmick. I want you to focus on how much I can do scenography design without a lot of parts.

If you were a Dragon Ball or One Piece character who would you be? And why?

Lucky Roo. Because I've gotten fat these days…

How do you feel about the other contestants?

I am looking forward to see everyone’s work because they have different style of sculpting like digital, hand sculpting, and so on. I am not sure if I could win or not, but I will try my best.

Is there anything you like to say to your fans?

I am really honored to be able to participate again in this contest! I will work hard so that I will have no regrets. I would like to show you the best Sanji in my history!
