Don’t let the name fool you – French Doll is coming to the BWFC from Korea. He specializes in female figures, so his chosen character of Nami should come as no surprise. It may be his first BWFC, but French Doll is ready to give it his all!

How do you feel about participating in the BANPRESTO WORLD FIGURE COLOSSEUM 2018?

Hello, everyone. This will be my first time joining the BWFC. I will try my best to surpass the other participants. But I think sculpting is always more of an inner conflict. I will enjoy sculpting and "fighting" with Nami.

Of all the art forms, why did you pick sculpting or become a sculptor?

I have been dreaming of participating in WONDER FESTIVAL since I saw a models magazine in 1990. My first completed work after I began studies was Rei from Evangelion.

How do you feel about the franchise for which you selected?

I always watch One Piece and it is a part of my life. Especially the rescue mission for Ace - I couldn’t wait for the release of a Korean version so I bought the Japanese one.

Tell us the reason why you chose the character you did. (And why did you pose it that way?)

When I got the offer to join this competition, the anime was in the whole cake island series. Nami‘s costume in that story was totally my type. That is the reason why I chose her.

What makes your style of sculpting unique?

About Mr. Oda’s pictures, I think the key point will be the waistline which is like a bottle of coke. So I will focus on creating that waistline.

If you were a Dragon Ball or One Piece character who would you be? And why?

My appearance is like Jinbe maybe…? But my heart is similar to Bartolomeo!

How do you feel about the other contestants?

I always check the Japanese participant's twitter. But not just the Japanese participants, I am also looking forward to seeing new challenges from all the participants.

Is there anything you like to say to your fans?

I always make female characters, though this time it is also a new challenge for me. So please be excited about my very own One Piece style.
