INTERVIEW
How do you feel about participating in the BANPRESTO WORLD FIGURE COLOSSEUM 2019?
I am still doing analog molding, so I thought it would be possible to make a culmination of the hand sculpture at this opportunity.
Of all the art forms, why did you pick sculpting or become a sculptor?
I have loved drawing since I was a little kid. But my three-dimensional work was evaluated more than two dimensional one. And also going on to college, I failed the two-dimensional major and I was accepted by the three-dimensional major.
After that, things just happened to turn out this way as a sculptor.
I think that meeting people at important points was what makes me who I am today.
How do you feel about the franchise for which you selected?
When "My Hero Academia" started, I thought it was a very straightforward royal road JUMP comic.
It became very continuous famous work and I think what a great work "My Hero Academia" is. And all the characters are cute.
Tell us the reason why you chose the character you did.
Because there are many serious face figures in the battle scene works, so I wanted to make an invincible smiling Todoroki-kun.
What makes your style of sculpting unique?
I hope I can give a presence of a simple but good atmosphere.
I wanted to make a figure which could be decorate for a long time.
How do you feel about the other contestants?
Everyone is really amazing and I respect them.
In particular, WATANABE×REN made a great Deku at the previous Banpresto Figure Colosseum.
I want to make that kind of thing.
Is there anything you like to say to your fans?
I am surrounded by such a great people and I cannot say anything big, but I want to make the best figure as much as possible.
Thank you for your support.
