INTERVIEW
How do you feel about participating in the BANPRESTO WORLD FIGURE COLOSSEUM 2019?
Right after the Japanese tournament was over, I got an offer for this bigger tournament and I really honored.
Whatever the results, I would like to make good figure for the fans to feel "I want to get it!".
Of all the art forms, why did you pick sculpting or become a sculptor?
I have always loved manufacturing and creation since I was a child, and now I think I am on the extension.
How do you feel about the franchise for which you selected?
It is cool to see the boys yearning for heroes and growing towards their ideals, and going forward, despite there are various conflicts and problems. And this story is very encouraging and inspire me a lot.
Tell us the reason why you chose the character you did.
I have made the same Izuku Midoriya at the Japan tournament before.
At that time, I made the very first design hero costume.
Since then, if there is an opportunity to participate in the tournament,
I wanted to make this hero costume γ.
I have various ideas and interpretation which are like the iron sole must be such a material, or the mask should have a hole in it, etc...and I wanted to make it a figure.
What makes your style of sculpting unique?
Deku's pure feeling as a boy hero, his emotion of struggles and efforts to be a hero and expression of hair texture and presence of each ornament that can be reproduced because of this size.
I would be happy if you could feel these things from the whole figure.
"I will bend the future!!" I want to express this Deku's feeling as much as possible!
How do you feel about the other contestants?
They are superlative and respected sculptors.I would like to take a closer look at other participants works and use them as future reference.I am so excited!
Is there anything you like to say to your fans?
If there is a person who is a fan of me, thank you very much. I really appreciate.
The tournament is more energetic than usual, but I keep in mind to create "good things" at everyday work.
I will keep making good figures that you would like to get.
Thank you for your support.
